Lamb under the peka is one of the most popular holiday dishes as well as one of the best ways to prepare lamb at all. Specifically for the island of Krk, lamb stew (žgvacet) is prepared for the holidays. It is lamb in a rich sauce made of wine, tomato and aromatic herbs served as a rule with šurlice - local pasta. With this dish, the glass of Vrbnička žlahtina is going great.
