You're visiting the Island Krk with your children and you're interested in some fun activities? Besides the beautiful nature, sea and beaches, the Island offers a variety of different activities for families with children. Here comes our top five list:
1. The Biserujka cave
In the vicinity of Rudine, Omišalj, Njivice and Dobrinj, on the northern part of the Island there is a Biserujka cave. With it's length of 110 meters and richness on stalactites and stalagmites, it is one of the most visited caves in Croatia. The walking path is all the way enclosed, what makes it safe for children of all age.
2. Semi-submarines
With it's center in the city of Krk, the whole family has an opportunity to explore the underwater of Krk by driving in on of the semi submarines. The underwater part of the submarine goes down to 1,5 meters under the sea and through the glass surfaces everyone can check out the beautiful offshore and watch the fish feeding.
3. Undersea park Punat
Another underwater fun attraction for you and your family! This park contains underwater pirate exhibits in depth of 3-5 meters. From pre-school to older children and adults as well can go down to the sea bottom, while wearing a special under-sea walking helmet, all in a company of the experienced sea diver. To know how to swim and dive is not a condition!
4. The Soline Bay
Even though in the beginning of our list we said we wouldn't talk about the beaches, we have to mention the Soline bay because it is different than the others. It is rich on the healing medicinal mud - which is exactly the reason why many tourist visit this place. Families, friends and children of every age enjoy spreading the mud all over them, and then washing it off in the sea. 5. The Glagolitic park Gabonjin
The educative Glagolitic park is located in the very center of the Island. It is very fun for everyone who wants to find out more about the history of the Island. The perfect place to learn more about the history of the Croatian language and Glagolitic.
