The island of Krk offers many ways of fun and relaxation: from beautiful beaches, excellent gastronomic offerings, untouched nature and various cultural manifestations. Most of the tourists who come to Krk are looking for hidden coves where they can relax in the sun or enjoy the offer of food and drinks. But those who want active vacation can also come into their own on this beautiful Mediterranean island. Biking

Krk has a developed network of cycling trails that stretch across the island and offer a chance to get to know the island in a specific way. Apart from the fact that most trails stretch along the coast, there are a large number of those who go through the island's interior. There are two cycling trails on the island of Krk-Prniba and Malinska-Punat. The route of both trails includes a passage along the main road on the island, and therefore most of the island can safely be seen without fear of cars. Also, there are several cycling events and races on Krk every summer.

Diving

If you've ever wanted to explore the underwater world while on holiday in Croatia, the island of Krk offers you an excellent opportunity to do so. Do not be discouraged even if you are still new to diving - enter a diving school where qualified instructors will teach you all the skills you need. On the other hand, if you already have experience, you have a great selection of dive sites such as hidden underwater caves or sunken sailors from the Napoleonic era.

Nautics

Krk is a paradise for boaters and all those who are interested in learning more about this activity. There are dozens of marinas on the island, and the most famous is Marina Punat - one of the largest and most luxurious marinas on the whole Adriatic. In most places on the island there are tourist berths as well as the possibility of renting various boats.

Walking and hiking
Krk abounds not only with cycling trails, but also with those for hiking. Sometimes these paths overlap, as in a seafront promenade (lungomare), but there are also a number of exclusive hiking trails for hikers. Such paths offer a walk through untouched nature and numerous vistas, from which one can often see the entire Kvarner Bay and they stretch to over 300km. With the very beauty of nature, Krk promenades offer an opportunity to get to know the history, culture and flora and fauna of the island.
The island of Krk offers many ways to spend an active vacation. From exploring local hiking trails to underwater exploration or cycling on the beautiful coast, surely it is possible to find something for everyone longing for an active holiday.
