This year the carnival begins somewhat later, from January 13, and will be extended until the beginning of March. Although the nearby Rijeka is the regional center of the carnival celebration, the Carnival of Krk itself is proud of the tradition of over 200 years.

These dates are conveyed with the celebration in Rijeka so carnival lovers do not have to choose between a celebration they want to visit!
During this period, every two weeks will be held Saturday adult entertainment masquerades as well as Sunday carnival fun for children with music and gastronomic offer. More information on event schedules can be found on the Tourist Board website.
