Garica

 

Garica is a village in the center of the island of Krk. It belongs directly to the municipality of Vrbnik, which is 5km away, and very close to the town of Krk, 10km. There are 156 permanent residents in Garica. The area of Garica was inhabited in ancient times and many archeological sites are located in the area. Some of them are the ancient Kampela site, the ancient walled tomb near Garica and the Krševanski vrh hilltop.

As it is a small village just a few minutes' drive from the coast, many tourists find themselves there while looking for a peaceful holiday far away from the city, in a rural setting. The place itself has no developed tourist offer besides private accommodation and holiday homes.
